BODY SURFING ANYONE? June 2, 2023June 5, 2023 Today we ventured out to visit one of the local water holes—Paradise Beach. We were loaded onto a ferry, where we were privileged to occupy the front row seat–“SUPERVISE SENIORS & CHILDREN.” I could take this message a number of ways. . . The beach club is equipped with tables serviced by many hosts standing patiently, awaiting your order. There are a variety food-ordering options, water toy rentals, and wait for it—a live band. This is all shaded by very large tarp-covered roofing providing all the shade you would need. I mean—a 1-dollar ferry ride, and a 5-dollar entrance fee, one might say you are livin’ LARGE! The water is clear, and tepid—a small designated piece of enclosed shoreline, contained by large netting so that no large sea creatures are able to cross the barrier. We did not ride any waves, nor did we rent any beach toys, and definitely did not partake of any “fine” dining. We did recline on the beach, sipping on lukewarm “Coke Zero,” munching on some potato-like chip, just basking in another day in Paradise. Author: Sherry Gregory Uncategorized
Hi Cuz, what’s the best way to communicate with you? I’m sure all your wonderful friends don’t want to hear all my personal chatter. I wrote you via text and the WhatsApp app and have no success communicating.I love all you are sharing about your experiences and God’s hand in your lives. Love youReply
SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU! WE HAVE WHATSAPP UP AND WORKING. WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE????? I LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!!Reply
Sounds like you guys should do a commercial for the fine life in the Philippines. I am glad to hear you are at least getting some outing time together. I heard there is a wakeboard park around there. Maybe Rick can try his luck wakeboarding…. Glad to hear you are settling in a the clinic (except for those graveyard shifts – I would like to hear more about that). Keep on posting as we continue to pray for God stories for both you guys…..Reply
You are so funny, Steve! How I miss your humor!!! (can you believe I just said that?) It was a really nice day. . .Reply
NICE! So glad you have a place you can relax even if it comes with a “senior in need of supervision” role! LOL! I’m sure you’d be the one supervising the children! I love all the pics and video you include. Thanks for all the updates!Reply
Right? Interestingly enough, seniors have many perks. . .special lines in the grocery store, discounts–almost everywhere, and some very peculiar glances when the locals see OLD WHITE PEOPLE walking the streets when you could be taking a taxi/jeep/motorcycle. . . MISSING YOU TWO SO MUCH. HOW ARE YOU???SENDING LOVE AND PRAYERS!Reply
