NIGHT VISITORS May 29, 2023May 29, 2023 This will be a first for me. . . I am actually going to post a very short blog. Not because I am at a loss for words, may it never be so—but this entry deserves a stand alone. Saturday evening, after we returned from our day spent in cell phone hades, we received a text from Lois and Greg, who live near, wanting to know if they could come by. I quickly responded with a hearty “YES” and the entire tribe arrived shortly after. The kiddos played with toys, and romped and wrestled while the adults chatted. At one point, I brought out the box of Sees lollypops, and told the young’uns the story of my mom—how we visited the mall every week, and walked out of Sees with a box of lollypops for her weekly enjoyment. This was my hope to pay a bit of homage to my “mama.”It may not seem significant, but it was paramount. To this point in our overseas experience, we have yet to connect with so many engaging, thoughtful, devout followers and servants of Jesus this early in the process of settling in while in a foreign country. It is magnificient to know that we are in concert with many others, and God continues in His FAITHFULNESS to meet us in surprising places. After candy was consumed, the troops were losing steam, and they left for home. Thus, I was deeply moved. Again. Author: Sherry Gregory Uncategorized
Sherry, fret not…. You will NEVER be short of words to speak 😁. I was soooo happy to hear you actually brought those See’s suckers with you to share as an homage to you momma. I know how much that means to you. I hope you are able to share that story with your momma as I know it would bless her heart that you did that on her behalf. Glad to hear that you guys are already feeling a sense of community there. Looking forward to hearing how God will use you guys indies and outside your communityReply
I did share the story of the See’s suckers with my mom on FT. SHE LOVED hearing where one world meets another. Whuda thunk! Pray all is well your way. Thanks so much for taking the time to read the blogs. Your love and friendship (gifts from the Lord) keeps us moving forward.Reply

Though the picture is a bit dated, it certainly tells a story. We grateful for God’s continual grace in our lives as we would not be here without His movement. Your love and prayers are sustained us–literally! Sending love to you two!Reply
